Hey 2G!

Came to this blog and suddenly all of the wonderful memories are flooding back.

I know it's silly to say, cos I have classes with some of you and we see each other practically every day, but I miss you all so much ):

It's not so much the individual people that I miss; I miss sitting in our old classroom and having that sense of belonging. Just the whole atmosphere.

I wish I could say that I've gotten used to the silence, but I don't think I ever will. Not for a long time at least.

I wish I could say that I look forward to school, but the truth is I don't have much to look forward to.

I wish I could listen to Dynamite/DJ Got us Falling in Love/Fall for You without going back to that last day of school but I can't.

Oh wow I haven't posted here in YEARS or something!

Well for all those who were at LTC, it was really great seeing you guys again (: And it was um, kind of good to be able to panic with all of you guys regarding our class lists!

I suppose 24th was technically the last day that we're considered a class /: I mean, from the time school ended till then, we didn't have our future classes yet so since we were in a state of limbo, most of us just referred to ourselves as being in 2G.

But now we can't say that either, cos fact of the matter is, we are now 3T and 3S. For convenience, if you want to see who's in which class, this is how our class was divided!

3T (13 people): Bern, Anna, Charis, CYY, Claudia, Carolyn, Grace, Lois, Melissa, Misha, Jennifer, Sarah, Valerie

3S (17 people): Aly, Anmol, Sanj, Bev, Huimin, Janice, Faith, Claire, Bianca, Weiling, Natalie, Miranda, Rachel, Tanya, Jeannette, Isabella, Denise

Yup. I guess the distribution was pretty even? I mean, at least it wasn't 10 and 20, or 5 and 25. Or worse. HAHA. Actually 0 and 30 would have been wonderful but..

Another thing that I noticed was kinda nice is that G is no longer SBC. So in that sense, because we can't ever be G again, we will always be a G. Am I making sense? s:

So yeah. I haven't blogged here in ages and I would like to take this chance to make a small 'toast' to 2G.

I love you guys with all my heart, and I know that whatever comes our way, no matter what paths we each choose to take, somewhere in us lies a bit of 2G.

The Last Day

Hey 2G '10, it's Claudia.

It might seem weird that I'm posting this here. But I think that all of us, regardless of who we were or what we did in the past two years, every one of us from register number one to thirty all... are sad that the day of parting has arrived.

It's so hard to wrap my mind around the idea that next year, it won't be the same group of familiar faces.

Definitely the most awesome group of people. When it comes down to it, there's really not much to say...

Thank you so much, 2G, for past two years of fun and great memories. And being so kind, and great, and awesome, and amazing. I can't imagine myself in better company.

Certainly we were flawed, too noisy, not as smart as the class-next-door, (this term has always baffled me. 2T is not actually next door. It has always, always been 2G, one class, then 2T.) still though... I feel that we were still the "best".

So many memories which I'll carry with me for a long time, even when we eventually drift apart. If we do.

It seems like such a foolish thing to cry over. It was going to happen anyway.. but you can't help but feel sad.

2G, I'll definitely miss you. But.. change isn't always a bad thing.

Let's meet up for Christmas... okay?

Right. Hey everyone it's Claudia.

Anyway! Teacher's day is coming up and with it, Be Yourself Day. I think they changed the name this year, because it's not actually BE YOURSELF, there's a theme! Which is in this case, Alice in Wonderland! (which is a rather overused idea but still VERY COOL!)

I don't know how it happened, but since last year, the themes have gotten infinitely cooler. There's even a FOOD theme! as in Lunchbox Day- HIGH TEA! [And you know what HIGH TEA reminds me of? Kitchen Princess volume 8! And you know what else, whoever is behind these themes must really love Black Butler (now available in the school library! if Su Yen has already returned it!), because there's this REALLY COOL CIRCUS THEME which was last year right, and there was a CIRCUS arc in Black Butler. And Ciel is ALWAYS having tea. With a three tiered stand.. and Sebastian is holding a three tiered stand on one of the volume covers.]

ANYWAY! I find it weird that NO ONE has suggested to discuss what we're gonna bring for the HIGH TEA LUNCHBOX DAY THEME. Was it only for the primary school or something? HIGH TEA OR NO HIGH TEA, I DO know that I will be bringing a lot of home-baked high-tea food. It will be good. Some one should bring SCONES and JAM, if they can, because that's regular high tea stuff. Also MADELEINES! which are REALLY REALLY easy to make, and taste EXTRA GOOD if you add LEMON! LEMON! LEMON! which is my favourite fruit, in terms of baking. A lemon glaze makes it really good too. But it makes your fingers sticky.

Oh good cake! and cookies! Apparently there should also be SANDWICHES! and of course TEA! But no one really drinks tea right? In any case it would still be good to have tea. [WE ALL LOVE EATING.]

By the way who is going as what? I will probably be going as Alice because I don't have any other clothes. I heard that loads of people are planning to come as card soldiers. It would DEFINITELY be interesting to see all the other characters of Alice in Wonderland, though.

Anyway even if this has not much to do with the class.. I thought I'd post something.

Someone else should DEFINITELY come and post. After all it is a CLASS blog, not a GRACE AND CLAUDIA blog. So it is good that more people have been coming to the class blog.

Biology, among other things

Hey everyone, it's Claudia. Yeah, her.

I just did my biology experiment, the one with the flowers. I think it'll fall apart though. I don't really know how to split stems.

Common tests are *nearly* over! And all the heavy memorizing ones are over too. Continue to work hard for the coming common tests then, even if you did badly for Bio or History (Eep! I don't want to think about that anymore...)

Well anyway remember War Poetry? I'd like to add a certain poem for further reading. It's a VERY nice poem, compared with certain ones in the War package (sorry, I couldn't really appreciate some of them.) You can read it here.

It's a poem on the Battle of Tenaru at Guadalcanal. It's about the war in the Pacific (Japan). The guy who wrote it was a US Marine who fought in the campaign. That is an extremely short summary. If you like the poem, you can read "Helmet for my Pillow" by Robert Leckie or watch The Pacific (a miniseries). Or With The Old Breed by Eugene B. Sledge. These are all books and memoirs and stuff about war in the Pacific.

Oh my goodness, school starts in like FOUR DAYS!

I think that I'm the only one in class with less than 20% of her work done. I don't wish such misfortune and procrastination on any one of you.

Hope your holidays have been good despite the stupid homework and (maybe) tuition and (maybe) having to go back to school for training/rehearsals etc. I know mine have been great! (: Maybe cos I've completely avoided the homework part till now.

Whoa, has it really been that long since someone's posted? O:

Anyway, I know it's smack in the middle of Commons so not many people are gonna read the blog (so few people do as it is, whatever), but you know. I figured we needed a little update.

Commons are nearly over guys (: Only 3 more, 2 more for you lucky non-Chinese students. And tomorrow is also Ah Suah's birthday!

Oh and of course after Commons, ROCSSSSS! It's gonna be so fun. But honestly, I don't want to be a killjoy, I don't think it'll live up to Beijing standards. But what the heck, it'll be even more fun cos our WHOLE class is going.

Hey 2g.

(though I know not all of you come to this blog),

I just wanted to remind you that our classroom is IMPORTANT, as is its CLEANLINESS. You know we all did moral education in Primary school, right? So, we should all do our part in keeping our classroom really nice and neat and pleasant. And you all think so too, if not we wouldn't have gotten the aromatherapy thing (which spilled, by the way, and that's why the scent is so strong recently) and you were so happy about the disco ball.

So if you're just playing around and tossing crumpled pieces of paper just to get on someone else's nerves, or you have like... tissue or whatever, put them in the rubbish bin and not leave them on your table. No, I don't really care how messy your table top is (mine's pretty messy too, actually.) but usually the wind takes it and it all blows to the floor. Then it starts to get really gross. :(

So do your duty! Yeah? Don't forget. And if you see something on the notice board falling off, there are thumbtacks in the first drawer of the teacher's table. I think that's where I put it. Yeah, so the classroom is the environment where we learn and where we all meet daily and blah and Ms Ng already told us and sort of lectured us about it, so we'd better you know... start to really put in some effort into the cleanliness of our class.

Trying not to make this sound like a rant. I was really kind of pissed today.

I know you may think "oh, I don't care because I didn't throw it, " but despite all that, our classroom belongs to everyone of us and we should keep our classroom tidy and neat (:

Just wanted to say, when I left class today, there was a lot of rubbish on the floor, and later after lunch when I went back to class, I saw the cleaner aunty helping us sweep our floor, making it nice and clean. Well, I guess what I want to say here is that we should work hard at this, and not leave it to the cleaners all the time. A little effort goes a long way right? :D And, well the cleaners are kind of old, so can you imagine them having to bend over so many times to sweep all the rubbish for us?

So yes, like what Claudia said, do our part and duty! Let's make our classroom a better place!

The blog is so dead! Even the tagboard is dead. Did you know I check back everyday? Yeah, I have no life or whatever, but to me, bonds are important. Highly.. ah.. valued.

Anyway. How's life? There's a new seating arrangement, hope you're all happy with that. Uh, but from what I can see, people are moving tables all around.. due to eyesight problems I think. Some complications.

But what I really wanted to post about today was the ideas.

Sounds interesting right? I mean who has class shorts? The idea is so ridiculous but I bet 2g'10 could actually pull it off. We're planning a trip to Sentosa, for Pete's sake.

Yes, the sentosa trip.

We plan to go to like.. Universal Studios and lots of other stuff... I couldn't really read Claire's handwriting on the board but I swear I saw "suntan".

I do recall something to do with fundraising. I mean, if we are going to be staying overnight, and going to Universal Studios, I think we're going to need some form of subsidy (hopefully that is the right use of word), you know what I mean, anyway. Because apparently Universal Studios is going to cost like $80 per person. And don't you dare tell me that there's gonna be a Universal Studios in Singapore and you're not even going. Yeah it might not be as nice as Japan because the temperature is eh not so good. But I'm sure if we go as class/big group then it's bound to be... lots of fun...

So. Misha and Claire Gan are actually the ones planning this, but since I was there, I thought I'd just report and post up my views here because God knows that this blog needs updating.

I'm sort of done, now, so. Oh yes I do recall giving away the password and username of this blog to a certain person. I don't think she actually reads this blog because if she did, SHE WOULD HAVE POSTED, RIGHT? YEAH, I KNOW.

Hi everyone.

Like what Claudia posted, we should really keep this blog alive. Yes we see each other almost everyday, but really in about 8 months time, we would not see each other in the same class anymore. Each one is so indispensable to our class, and today at Cross-Country, it really made me realize how much we should value this time together. No matter what, we will forever be 1G/2G. 30 girls/grapes/stars, 1 class.

So this tuesday, 16th March, we will be going to watch To Kill A Mockingbird. Just a reminder, the dress code is smart casual (you can wear jeans) and the play is held at NLB, Drama Centre. If I am not wrong, our seats are located on the 3rd level, so make your way there once you reach. We have to report at 7:45pm, but if possible, can you guys come 5 mins earlier so that we can take some class pictures (:

Any of you going to reach at 7:15? I think I may reach then.

Don't be bogged down by homework and enjoy your holidays! Study and play hard too.

Oh. Did our previous class blog REALLY have 126 posts?

Because our current class blog has like... 14. We have a long way to go. Now remember this is a CLASS BLOG so as a class we should use this blog... it's free and only useful if EVERYONE comes and TAGS and POSTS and CHANGES THE HOMEWORK PANEL. Seriously though we're like... a month behind there...

So. Nothing class related but I thought I should do some advertising for my CCA, library, which has a serious lack of members. Go check out the library some time please. There are several really interesting competitions... I mentioned it in the tags. Write a story about the character... it's on the library boards, oh and if you like vocaloid (yeah, I know there are otakus in 2G, I'm talking to you!) you should really look at the libary cca board. Then if you like manga (again addressing you.) check out the Activities board which really needs some love. There are some weeks when no one participates and it makes us or me at any rate, feel kind of loser.

On to commons. I hope everyone is satisfied with their CA1 results! I know more than a few people have gotten 74.7, or similar for their overall. I know how it feels -.- but really there's not much to do about it.. so just enjoy life. If you're sinking into a deep pit of depression like I know some people who are, then it's really not as bad as you think and time will heal it, because you find that day after day passes by, and before you know it it's so far back in the past and okay I'll stop here.

CLASS BOARD

Hey everyone :D

Just to let you know, next week is gonna be called Transformation Week, which is like a class beautification thing, and a chance to make our class pretty and to do up our board nicely :) The classes will be judged on Friday (22 Jan), so if we work really really hard to finish our grapes and disco ball and board by then, we might be able to win cool prizes :) So let's all do our best to help out and to make our class pretty okay :D

Hey 2G (or at least,those that read this blog.)

Claudia here. I just thought I'd post about the class beautification not only because it's hard to get your attention in class but also because I'm kind of bored. Plus it's sorta... a class matter, so you kind of HAVE TO... right?

So anyway, if you haven't already heard, the board at the back will be covered in a silky silver cloth,and the top will be like... stage lights... made with black paper and cellophane paper. Maybe I'll do a picture, to make it clearer.
at the bottom will be grapes, I think they'll be 3D grapes? Styrofoam. So there'll be a styrofoam ball, and just cut it in half, so it pops out.
Along the sides of the classroom will be vines with grapes (made with crepe paper).
We'll have to find somewhere to put a bible verse, and it has to be huge, if I'm not wrong.
And maybe we can put something of use on the chalk board. I don't know, but "Chicken Rice" on top is kind of... you know...

And of course, everyone will have to pay, probably something around 1 to 2 dollars.

So I hope this got your attention... it IS very important, you know. You're going to be staying in that classroom for the rest of the year.

There's a duty roster now, so try to follow it okay?

After a long long time (ok, that's an exaggeration), we meet again! And we are all in Secondary Two, with our classroom on the fourth floor!

If any kind soul knows why the stupid collage has a beige-ish background, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. It's driving me insane and I checked, when I made the collage, it was background-less: I didn't even set a solid colour to be the bg! D:< how do I make it more to the centre? Not centered, but more to the right. I haven't edited a skin in so long I've become a n00b l:
